A FREE New Years Family Health Makeover

We wanted to kick off the New Year with a special event that you won't want to miss. We are bringing in some very special guests who are going to help you get your year off to a healthy start.

So far, we have a Relationship Coach who specializes in helping her clients get total clarity when it comes to their family and relationship goals. She's going to tell you why your "New Years Resolutions" never work, and how to create an intention that will.

We have a Holistic Counselor who is going to share some easy holistic home remedies for Moms.

We are also going to be talking to Tisha Mecham, author and creator of the Bio-Kinetic Testing system.

And we're just getting started! We have more invitations out for other guests. We'll let you know as those get scheduled.

Sign up for the event today to make sure you get a seat.

And invite your friends to come along as well. Just forward this newsletter and ask them to join you, because you don't want them to miss out on the opportunity to create their New Year powerfully.

A New Chat Room

Josh created a brand new Chat Room for our Friday afternoon chats. He also made it so that you can now view the transcripts for the chats after they are over. That way, even if you can't make it to the live event, you can still read what was said.

These transcripts will be available for 7 days. To see them, just go to the chat room, but instead of entering the room, just click on the "View past chat sessions" link at the top right hand side of the window.

Quote of the Week

"Christmas gift suggestions:

To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect."

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, and Some Fun and Inexpensive Gift Ideas

If you are anything like us, there is always someone who makes it onto your Christmas gift list, but that you aren't sure quite what to give.

When we are faced with a gift dilemma like that, we try to find something relatively inexpensive that the person will actually use.

Food is a good gift for these occasions.

Everybody likes food, especially something sweet.

But we wanted to steer clear of candies and sweets this year. So we thought of something else that would work just as well and wouldn't force the recipient to face the potential guilt that sometimes comes with overindulging in holiday sweets. (Although it's nice sometimes to have an excuse for eating those sweets. "Well, it was a gift. It would be rude not to eat it!")

One thing that we have found that works well for this is bath goodies.

Almost everyone likes bath goodies, and they almost always get used.

What better gift to give someone than an excuse to spend an hour pampering themselves and enjoying a nice hot bath.

So we went out and found some bath and body recipes that you can use to make gifts this year. (Sorry, we know it's a little late for gift ideas. Maybe you can use them next year, or as a New Year's gift, or hey, maybe just a gift for yourself!)

Just click the link to for each recipe. They are all from the same website, so feel free to just explore and find the ones that you like.

This Week's Recipe:
Make Ahead Christmas Breakfast

This is a great recipe to use for Christmas breakfast.

You can make it the night before, refrigerate it and then just pop it into the oven before sitting down to open gifts. By the time you are done with gifts, your breakfast is hot and waiting for you!

Note: We are really stretching things to call this a "healthy recipe". But it's very tasty, and hey, it's Christmas! You're supposed to eat fatty foods...Right?

Make Ahead Christmas Breakfast

  • 1 Stick of Butter (1/2 cup)

  • Several slices of bread

  • Cheese

  • Ham

  • 6 eggs

  • 3 1/4 C. Milk

  • 1/2 tsp. Salt

  • Dry or wet mustard

  • Chopped Onion

  • 3 Cups Corn Flakes

Butter a big casserole dish. Cover bottom with buttered slices of whole wheat bread. Add a layer of cheese and ham. Add another layer of bread, then another layer of cheese and ham.

Mix eggs, milk, salt, mustard, and onions together. Pour over the top of the layered bread, cheese, and ham.

Melt stick of butter and mix with crushed corn flakes and spread it evenly over the top.

Cook at 325 for one hour.

Herb of the Week

Starting next week (or the week after...) we are going to start featuring an "Herb of the Week".

And just one more reminder. Go and sign up for your FREE New Years Family Health Makeover while there are still spots left.

One more thing.

We also wanted to take just a minute to tell you how much we appreciate you.

We appreciate the opportunity to share a little bit of ourselves with you. We appreciate the comments and feedback that we get from you. And we appreciate the opportunity to maybe make a little bit of a difference in your lives.

So thank you. We don't take you for granted.

Merry Christmas to your family, from ours.
