The new Natural Healthy Family Blog

We have started a new "Wet Paint" blog feature for the website. Go check it out when you get a chance. (We'll give you a chance in just a minute...) We just got it up yesterday, so there is not much to look at, but this is where we will be hosting a series of live blog casts and other fun events.

An Exclusive Interview with Author Tisha Mecham

On Thursday, Dec 4th at 2 PM MST (1 PM PST) we are hosting a live interview, tele-seminar and blog cast with Tisha Mecham, author of Bio-Kinetic Testing for Health: How to Take the Guesswork out of Healing.

Tisha has been a great friend and inspiration of ours for a long time. It's a pleasure to have the opportunity to interview her.

In this interview, you can expect to hear about Tisha's breakthrough testing and healing methods; inspirational (and sometimes borderline miraculous) stories of healing; and Tisha has also made herself available to answer any questions that you might have.

Ways to participate:

Call in for the live tele-seminar

Dial-in number- 1-785-686-2400
Access code- 619742

Join in the live discussion on the new Natural Healthy Family Blog.

You can follow the conversation on the blog and type in questions and comments while the interview is happening. We will be relaying your blog questions to Tisha to answer over the phone.

What's New for Home Learning Center Members?

New Navigation Bar Link to HLC

To make it easier to get to the Home Learning Center, we have installed a quick access button on our website's navigation bar. (Located on the left hand margin of every page on the website.) The button is labeled BKTHLC Members. Go check it out on our home page.

Also, don't forget about the Live Q&A Chat Session this Friday at 12 Noon MST. Just log in and go to the Community Lounge Chat Room located on the Community and Resources Page.

Quote of the Week

“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.”

Meister Eckhardt

What Are You Thankful For?

This is a perfect time of year to stop and reflect on the things we are thankful for.

It is our belief that we attract whatever we focus on.

If we focus on what we don't have or we don't want, we get more of what we don't want. But if we focus on what we are thankful for, then we get more of that!

So we just wanted to take a minute and tell you what we are thankful for, and then give you a chance to let everyone know what you are thankful for as well.

Beth: "I am thankful for healthy kids, great midwives, foggy Oregon mornings, and my family."

Josh: "I am thankful for the tree outside my home office window, the squirrel that lives in that tree and watches me while I work, yummy healthy recipes (cause I love yummy food), and my family, especially my new baby girl Lilly. I am also thankful for the generosity that my brothers always show me. Thanks guys, I love you."

Kendall: "Mimi (my stuffed monkey), my food, and Lilly. Oh, and I'm thankful for my thumb." (Editor's Note: We can't keep that thumb out of her mouth...)

Lilly: Baby Lilly can't talk yet, but we're pretty sure that she is thankful for clean diapers, her big sister Kendall, her Mama, yummy warm milk, and her new swing.

Those are just a few of the things that we are thankful for.

Now we would like to hear what you are thankful for.

Please go to our new Natural Healthy Family Blog and let us know. You don't have to sign up and become a blog member, (but feel free to). If you don't sign up, your posts will all be labeled "anonymous", so make sure you sign your posts so we know who you are.

A Final Thank You Note

We thank you (yes you, the person in your seat) for letting us share our Natural Healthy Family with you. This is something that we are very passionate about, and it's really awesome to have the opportunity to share it with you.

Thank you for subscribing, and thank you for taking the time out of your day to read our newsletter every week. We know how busy you are, and we don't take that for granted.

This week's recipe: Sugarless Pumpkin Pie

Admittedly, we were a little skeptical about the Sugarless Pumpkin Pie. But rest assured, we have tried it, and we thought it was delicious.

Sugarless Pumpkin Pie

  • 1/2 Can Pumpkin

  • 3/4 Cup Egg substitute

  • Stevia Liquid (pour over, sweeten to taste) or, 3 packets of powdered Stevia

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp Cloves

Bake at 425 for 50 minutes.
Top with whipping cream (Optional)

Note: There are only 120 calories from the pumpkin, and 90 calories from the egg substitute for the whole pie. It has 24 grams of protein. (Obviously, the whipping cream is going to add to this, so it's optional.)
